Luba holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Piano and Music Education; and also Linguistics and World Literatures, and is the principal accompanist for the highly acclaimed Island Dance Studio and Ballet Victoria . She also teaches piano at her own music school Music Victoria. As an accompanist she supports many talented soloists, vocal and instrumental alike, and has many years of experience both in Russia and here in Canada.

Luba was invited by Victoria Mayor Robert Cross and also by The Victoria Conservatory of Music, traveling from her hometown of Khabarovsk (Victoria's Sister City) in the Russian Far East. She arrived in September 1999 and in November performed (with Margaret Dzbik) for the inaugural meeting of Mayor Alan Lowe.

Luba has been performing solo as well as with different soloists of Victoria, such as Margaret Dzbik (violinist from Poland) who have brought many enjoyable moments to their audiences. Luba continues performing frequently, familiarizing Canadians with the music of her cherished Russian composers and music of the world. Later performing to raising money for churches and orphanages in Russia.

Luba is especially selective when it comes to deciding upon the right music for each specific audience, in her program you might hear pieces by Bach, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Saens Sans, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky... etc. as well as Khachaturyan, Gershwin... The music Luba plays, arouses the best of feelings, allowing old memories to melodiously surface as if it were just yesterday.

As a teacher in Russia Ms Dvortsova was highly regarded and held a senior position at the music school in Khabarovsk.
