Karen
danced and maintained a close creative partnership with Rudolf Nureyev
for many years and delighted audiences the world over, performing with
such companies as Roland Petit’s Le Ballet de Marseilles, The Bolshoi
Ballet, London Festival Ballet, Vienna State Opera Ballet and the Eliot
Feld Company.
Evelyn
Hart was an Honorable Guest and Performer
at the annual Ballet
Victoria
season where she conducted Master Classes; Luba was the accompanist for
these classes.
Evelyn's performances in classic ballets
have won her wide acclaim. Her interpretations of Giselle in Giselle,
Odette/Odile in
Swan
Lake,
Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Tatiana in Onegin have been
especially appreciated. Audiences have also responded enthusiastically
to her work in contemporary classics such as Sir Frederick Ashton's
Thaïs pas de deux, Jiri Kylian's Nuages and Norbert Vesak's
Belong pas de deux.
