Joe Charron:
MusicBorders

Joe was raised the eldest of eight children in the Muskoka region of Ontario Canada, just north of Toronto. His working class rural upbringing has left him with a deep and abiding respect for this and it's people, aboriginals and immigrants alike. His singing career began at an early age when he won a music festival award at the tender age of five. Writing was quick to follow; at first, poetry in his teens and then songwriting as he approached his twentieth birthday. Joe has a voracious appetite when it comes to music appreciation and his eclectic background of influences include country, blues, folk and gospel...   At times a pawnbroker, jeweler, carpenter and heavy equipment operator, Joe has worked his way across this great land from the Canadian Shield to the Pacific Rim and now resides on thee West Coast of Canada. His vast inventory of songs ensure a long future in songwriting and entertainment.

In 1994 Joe came out of the chute with "Train Wreck On The Dance Floor" and what's happened since then is nothing short of amazing, but not surprising after heard him open for "Valdy" at the Cowichan Theater. Sometimes you don't really know about an entertainer until you see them in front of a crowd, that's where it all comes together and come together it did. Now I know what all the fuss is about...  Joe is a prolific songwriter and has already attracted the attention of publishers, producers and the music industry in general and is continuing to build a loyal following who relate to his music and poignant lyrics. Anyone who has seen him perform can testify to his energy and passion...

Joe is back in the studio again recording his second CD "Born In Winter", a dozen or so recently completed songs planned for summer release...   I've heard many new songs in my time but I have to tell you, these songs are filled with intelligent and challenging musical lyrics and I know they will find appreciative ears. Keep an eye out for Joe with his guitar case filled with his songs, he will undoubtedly be passing through your town real soon, he is a Canadian treasure.
