Misha & Martin Receive “The Adjudicator's Choice Award

Luba is a teacher of piano and a professional accompanist, she has worked in both Russia and Canada and brings to Victoria her special gifts as a teacher and promoter of the highest quality. Her wish is to help those special students reach their full potential, and giving them the skills they will need to play and perform; making them psychologically ready for the world stage, or perhaps simply to bring pleasure to their lives.

Luba comes from The Russian Far East and has been in Canada now for almost ten years, and after traveling extensively around Canada and the United States makes Victoria her home away from home.

Music Victoria piano studio opened almost five years ago and straight away it captured the attention of the James Bay community and beyond, enabling Luba to pass on all that she has learned in her active and very successful years as a teacher. she has been warmly accepted into the area and continues her work here.

Quite often learning piano becomes a multi-cultural affair as it was for Diana, Jeff and Thomas Roberts (Thomas pictured above right) from Virginia. Russian/Swiss boys Misha and Martin Roesli are progressing exceptionally well, their excellent performances at the 2008 Piano Festival earned them “The Adjudicator's Choice Award”.  Masha Roesli (pictured on this page) cannot wait for her piano lessons to begin this coming September 2009.

Ian Kerr is just five years old (Pictured to the left) and has just started his lessons. Here he is shown working on hand positions and is already reading the music after just a few lessons. They learn so fast at this age and it’s a perfect age for students to begin.  Click photo to enlarge..

Misha & Martin (below) enjoy playing together. This ensemble “Kalinka” (Russian Folk Song) was arranged by Luba...

Masha can't wait to begin her lessons next September, her brothers Misha & Martin will be a great example to her.
