Roman Dvortsoff worked as a Recording Engineer, Musician and Arranger when I first met him in Khabarovsk, but he has since moved to Moscow where he writes commercials for one of the main add agencies. He has also written some very interesting music in the Jazz format, you can sample some of it here. Enjoy and please let us know what you think, I'll pass it on your comments to Roma in Moscow.

"Moscow Streets" & "All That Jazz"

Korobeyniki (Folk musicians and Dancers) visited Canada in the Summer of 1998, after I traveled to Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East to record their first CD. They all came to Victoria in the summer 1998 and stayed at my place. Korobeyniki was the first group to perform at "Festival In The Square" on The City Hall grounds in Victoria, BC. We will not soon forget their incredible musical & dance. Listen to their music...

"Kalinka" (Russian Traditional Folk Song) & "Kamrinskaya" (Russian Dance Tune)

Slava Sobolevsky is one of Russia's best kept secrets, as a solo pianist he has performed in many countries around the world and lucky for us Canada was one of them. He last visited Victoria in 1996 and he also stayed at my house along with his wife Irina and Granddaughter. When I visited Khabarovsk for the first time I stayed with them in their lovely apartment, Slava and I went to the recording studio "New Mix" every day for two weeks and had a great experience, one that changed my life completely. Listen to some of his beautiful works.

"The Round Dance Of The Gnomes" & "Cat and Mouse"
